Hello friends! We hope everyone is having a great May. This month, we’re happy to share that the Pledge Manager is now open for everyone. By now, you should have received your link to manage your pledge and add any extra items. If you have any issues or haven’t received a link, please reach out here or drop us an email to [email protected]
Shipping and Taxes
Due to fluctuating shipping rates, we will be charging for shipping and related taxes (if applicable) at a later date.
We will keep you updated through Kickstarter and will notify you once shipping fees and any associated taxes are added to your pledge.
Pledge Over Time
Any backers who elected to Pledge Over Time will receive their surveys when the final payment has cleared.
D&D 5e and Legend in the Mist PDFs
If your pledge or add-ons included any Beyond the Woods 5e or Legend in the Mist items, you should have already received an email from DrivethruRPG allowing you to redeem your PDF copies. If you don’t already have one, we recommend creating a DrivethruRPG account. This will make it easier to access your PDFs in the future.
EDIT: Please note, PDFs have only been sent out to backers who added Beyond the Woods 5e to their pledge, or who backed a tier that included the mainline Legend in the Mist, such as the Legend in the Mist Corebook, Hearts of Ravensdale, and Legend in the Mist Slipcase. The Beyond the Woods for Legend in the Mist PDFs have NOT been sent out.
If you can’t find your download link, be sure to do the following:

Check your spam folder — sometimes emails from DrivethruRPG can get lost there!

Make sure you check the right inbox! The complimentary copies are sent to the email address associated with your Kickstarter account that backed the project, so be sure to check that inbox! Folks who use a private Apple ID will need to reach out directly so we can resend the link to an alternate email address.

Get in touch! If you still can’t find the download link, drop us a DM here or contact [email protected]. Let us know the email address to use, and we’ll get you a new link as soon as we can.
What Next?
At the moment, we’re finalising the book outlines for both the Wanderer’s Handbook and Lorekeeper’s Guide, and creating a big list of what needs to be converted from 5e and what new content we need to create. This is a really fun part of the process as, even this early, you start to see the book take shape. We’ll have a bigger update on this soon.
Next month, we’ll be opening polls to let you fine folk vote on what critter gets added to the book! We’re really looking forward to this and expect a fierce monster battle to see who makes it in.

April Update - Smoke Test!

Dia dhaoibh a chairde, hello friends! Today we have some exciting news — we have finished all the necessary backend prep, so the Backerkit Pledge Manager will open this week! Here’s how it works:

Smoke Test: This week, we will send surveys to a random 5% of backers from each pledge level. This helps us catch any errors or issues.

Pledge Manager Opens: Assuming the smoke test goes well, we will send surveys to all backers next week. We’ll post another update when this happens!

Manage Your Pledge: When you gain access to the pledge manager, you’ll be asked to confirm your pledge and can switch it and add extra items.

Pledge Manager Closes: The pledge manager will remain open right up until we are ready to send out PDFs and ship the books. This means the pledge manager will be open until early 2027. We will keep you updated! You can keep making changes to your pledge, including changing your shipping address, right up until the pledge manager closes.

Troubleshooting
Two important things to note that may affect you receiving the PDF files:

Apple ID: If your Kickstarter account is linked to an Apple ID, you will need to reach out directly so we can resend the link to an alternate email address.

Pre-orders and Add-ons: If you pre-ordered Beyond the Woods or added add-ons to your pledge, these files won't be sent automatically because we haven’t charged the cards yet. Please reach out directly so we can help.

We did it! After an intense 30 days, Beyond the Woods for Legend in the Mist successfully funded and raised €192,526 from 1,892 of you incredible backers! Go raibh míle míle míle maith agat, a thousand thousand thousand thanks yous to each and every one of you. I am incredibly excited to bring Beyond the woods to the amazing Mist Engine and let gamers tell unique and beautiful stories in this world that I love.
Late Pledges
If you missed the campaign, don’t worry! Late pledges are open on Backerkit here. And even better, all late pledges and add-ons will keep pushing us towards that elusive €200k stretch goal!
What Did We Unlock?
After we smashed our funding goal, your support helped us unlock a bunch of stretch goals! So what exactly did we unlock?

New Rote Spells: A collection of rote spells for each of the new Ways of Magic in the Wanderer’s Handbook.

Otherworld Journeys: New Journeys and Challenges for those foolish or brave enough to venture into Tír nAill — the Otherworld.

New Monster: A new challenge for the Lorekeeper’s Guide featuring a monster from Irish folklore, as voted by the community. We’ll open the vote soon so you can choose from the Clúrachán, Dobhar-Chú, Murdúchann, or Fear Liath.

(ALMOST) New Bastion: We've very close to unlocking a brand new Bastion for the Wanderer’s Handbook, complete with its own Theme Kit, Quest, and Challenge. If we reach €200k from late pledges and add-ons, we'll be adding this too!

We’re heading into the final few days of the campaign and I once again want to thank you all for your amazing support!
