We did it! After an intense 30 days, Beyond the Woods for Legend in the Mist successfully funded and raised €192,526 from 1,892 of you incredible backers! Go raibh míle míle míle maith agat, a thousand thousand thousand thanks yous to each and every one of you. I am incredibly excited to bring Beyond the woods to the amazing Mist Engine and let gamers tell unique and beautiful stories in this world that I love.
Late Pledges

What Did We Unlock?
After we smashed our funding goal, your support helped us unlock a bunch of stretch goals! So what exactly did we unlock?

New Rote Spells: A collection of rote spells for each of the new Ways of Magic in the Wanderer’s Handbook.

Otherworld Journeys: New Journeys and Challenges for those foolish or brave enough to venture into Tír nAill — the Otherworld.

New Monster: A new challenge for the Lorekeeper’s Guide featuring a monster from Irish folklore, as voted by the community. We’ll open the vote soon so you can choose from the Clúrachán, Dobhar-Chú, Murdúchann, or Fear Liath.

(ALMOST) New Bastion: We've very close to unlocking a brand new Bastion for the Wanderer’s Handbook, complete with its own Theme Kit, Quest, and Challenge. If we reach €200k from late pledges and add-ons, we'll be adding this too!

We’re heading into the final few days of the campaign and I once again want to thank you all for your amazing support! We’ll be doing one last big push to try to hit our €200k stretch goal and add a unique new Bastion to Beyond the Woods, so be sure to share the campaign with anyone you think would like to join us in the Otherworld.

Oilliphéist: St. Patrick banished the snakes from Ireland and now it’s your turn - but this titanic sea-serpent won't be so easy to kill!

Stretch Goal Unlocked: New Monster!

Dia dhaoibh a chairde, hello friends! We hope you had a good weekend filled with gaming. We’re kicking the week off strong as we’ve just unlocked a brand new stretch goal! By reaching €150k we’re added a new creature to Beyond the Woods — and the best part is that YOU get to vote on which creature we add! When the campaign ends we’ll be asking all of our backers to vote to see which critter from Irish folklore gets added to the book, but here’s an early look at some of the options:

Clúrachán: The Clúrachán (or Clurichaun) is a cousin to the Luchorpán (Leprechaun), and is a mischievous and fun loving faerie. They enjoy a drink and usually haunt pubs and breweries.

Dobhar-Chú: The Dobhar-Chú (possibly meaning ‘water hound’) is the King of the Otters. Though that might sound cute, they are a fearsome creature that kills both people and animals and drinks their blood!

Murdúchann: Murdúchann (commonly known as Merrow) are akin to sirens or mermaids and are tragic and sometimes malevolent creatures that often become infatuated with mortals.

Fear Liath: The Fear Liath, or ‘grey man’, is a Slenderman-like entity from Irish and Scottish folklore. He manifests as dark man-shaped fog, and haunts the roads and cliffsides.
Voting won’t open until the campaign ends, but let us know in the comments which creature you’d like to see in Beyond the Woods!
Our next stretch goal is a whopping €200k, and if we reach it we’ll add a brand new Bastion to the game, complete with its own themekit and quests!
